Fifth Grade Rendezvous

Each year, Trinity-Neches SWCD participates in the Rendezvous. Fifth graders from all over Henderson County travel to the Henderson County Fairpark Complex to learn about the outdoors. Six hands-on activity stations are presented for the students to rotate through, covering topics such as soil, water, wildlife, fishing, and outdoor safety, among many others.

Trinity-Neches SWCD assists NRCS and Tarrant Regional Water District in teaching about water and soil conservation. Through simulations and demonstrations, we educate fifth graders on the components of soil, its importance in agriculture, erosion, rainfall, and practical ways to conserve these resources in their daily lives.
